Anelisa is a writer, producer, and director dedicated to telling stories that capture the complexity of diversity, identity, and the human spirit. Her work has spanned the world and genre from Micronesia to Maine, from National Geographic documentaries to independent feature films. Her personal documentary, One Hundred Steps, about her father’s journey through catastrophic injury, has been featured at film festivals across the country. She has produced for National Geographic, History Channel, and a multitude of non-profits big and small. Most recently she was a producer on an independent feature film produced entirely in Mid-Coast Maine, Anatomy of the Tide. She is set to direct her first feature this year in Nebraska.
